Isuzu's British presence has centred on rugged utility vehicles rather than conventional family hatchbacks. The Trooper and Rodeo built a following among towing and rural users, while the D Max continued the marque's emphasis on pickups. Some older imports and commercial vehicles add further variety. The register therefore reflects working use, 4 wheel drive capability and niche private ownership more than the broad passenger car strategy followed by larger Japanese rivals.
